Buy From a Black Woman
During my 6-week virtual internship with VCU Camp ADventure, I collaborated with four interns to devise a strategic awareness campaign for Buy from a Black Woman (BFABW), a nonprofit organization that empowers, educates and inspires Black women business owners through free business tools and resources. Its premier feature is the Buy From a Black Woman Online Directory.
VCU Camp ADventure was set up as a virtual camp for aspiring advertising professionals. 30 "bunks" or mini ad agencies of ~5-7 interns were assigned one of three RFPs to help our client, BFABW: (A) increase awareness for donations; (B) increase the number of businesses on BFABW's online directory; or (C) increase awareness for the organization's awareness month.
